Our Cow Families
Our cow families are comprised of breeds chosen for specific qualities including their mothering instincts, milk production for calves, shape of their bodies, even their wider flatter mouths so that they can more effectively graze on our hillside pastures.
We believe cow moms possess a greater influence over the next generation than bulls. A good cow mom can show her calf where to find shelter, water, food, and how to thrive. For that reason, we carefully select our moms and create families of cows to pass those traits to the next generation.
